1.1 This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how R2S Labs ("Company", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use the Paisa Pro mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service").

1.2 By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy and our Terms & Conditions.

1.3 This Policy is originally drafted in English. Upon request within the app settings, we will make reasonable efforts to provide this Policy in other regional Indian languages as required by applicable law.

2. Scope and Role

2.1 This Policy applies to personal information that we collect from you when you use Paisa Pro.

2.2 We act as the controller of your personal data for the purposes described in this Policy, subject to applicable Indian data protection and IT laws.

3. Information We Collect

At the MVP stage, Paisa Pro focuses on transaction tracking and budgeting. We aim to minimize the data we collect and store.

3.1 Information you provide directly

Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:

  • Account information: Name, email address, password or other login credentials, and optional profile details you choose to provide.
  • Financial/transaction data from statements: Transaction records, dates, descriptions, merchant names, categories, amounts, account identifiers (such as masked account numbers) and balances contained in the statements or files you upload or enter manually.
  • Support communications: Information you provide when you contact us for support, feedback, or other queries (for example, email address and message content).

3.2 Information we do not collect at MVP

At the MVP stage, we do not intentionally collect or store:

  • Device identifiers (such as IMEI, Android ID) or precise device metadata beyond what is technically necessary for app delivery via the app store.
  • Contact lists, SMS content, photos, media, or files other than the statements or data you explicitly upload to the app.
  • Location data (GPS or network-based) beyond any coarse information your network/app store may provide.

If this changes in the future (for example, to add device-based analytics, personalization, or fraud prevention), we will update this Policy and, where required by law, ask for additional permissions or consent.

3.3 Automatically collected information (minimal)

We may receive limited technical information such as anonymized or aggregated usage statistics (e.g., crash logs, feature usage) to help us improve stability and performance. When we use third-party analytics or crash reporting tools, they are configured to minimize personal data and are subject to their own privacy terms.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your information only for legitimate purposes related to providing and improving the Service, including:

  • Providing the core features: Importing and processing your transaction data to display balances, categorize spending, build budgets, and show summaries or simple analytics.
  • Account management: Creating and managing your account, authentication, and providing customer support.
  • Improvement and security: Troubleshooting issues, monitoring for abuse, and improving app performance and usability, primarily using aggregated or anonymized data.
  • Legal and compliance: Complying with applicable laws, responding to lawful requests, and enforcing our Terms & Conditions.

We do not sell your personal data.

5.1 Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal information where:

  • Processing is necessary to provide the Service you request (performance of a contract).
  • Processing is necessary for our legitimate interests in operating, maintaining, and improving the Service, balanced against your rights.
  • We have obtained your consent, where required (for example, when you upload statements or enable optional features).

5.2 Withdrawal of Consent

You may withdraw consent for specific processing (where applicable) by disabling certain features, deleting uploaded data where available, or requesting account deletion, subject to legal or contractual restrictions.

6.1 Storage Location

We store your personal data on secure servers or secure cloud infrastructure located in India or other locations permitted by applicable law.

6.2 Retention Period

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to:

  • Provide the Service and maintain your account.
  • Comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.
  • Enforce our rights under the Terms & Conditions.

6.3 Deletion Upon Request

If you request account deletion or stop using the Service, we will delete or irreversibly anonymize your personal data and financial transaction records within a reasonable period (not exceeding 30 days), subject to data we are required or permitted to retain for legal, accounting, or security purposes (for example, limited logs).

We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: With trusted third-party service providers who assist us in hosting, storage, analytics, customer support, or other operational functions, under appropriate confidentiality and data protection obligations.

We do not share your uploaded transaction data with third parties for their own marketing or advertising.

8.1 Mobile App Tracking

The Paisa Pro mobile app itself is designed to operate with minimal tracking technologies. If we deploy analytics or crash reporting SDKs, they may use device identifiers or similar technologies to provide us with aggregated usage and performance information.

8.2 Website Tracking

If we provide a companion website, that site may use cookies or similar technologies; any such use will be described in the website's separate cookie or privacy notice.

9. Data Security

9.1 Security Measures

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration, such as encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and security monitoring.

9.2 Your Responsibility

Despite our efforts, no system can be completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for using a secure device and network when accessing the Service.

Subject to applicable Indian law, you may have the right to:

13. Changes to This Policy

13.1 Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date and, where required by law, provide additional notice (for example, in-app notice).

13.2 Acceptance of Changes

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the updated Policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree, you should stop using the Service and request deletion of your data.
